Red Delicious was my first ever Free BOM... and the start of a great idea!
Goodness, how times change! Red Delicious was launched just after I had started blogging and I'm taken aback at how brief some of my posts were back then! At that time, the PDF files were launched via a file hosting site called Scrib.d and it caused me no end of trouble. Thanks to Red Delicious, we had to start a Yahoo BOM Group (which is not longer around) in order to keep up with everyone. Since then, we have even outgrown Yahoo and my BOM Group is now over on Facebook.

I've learnt a lot about sharing quilt patterns and blogging posts since those early attempts. What can I say? We all have to start somewhere...

Red Delicious has a serious sweet spot in my heart and I only wish I'd known then what I know now about connecting with others online, because I know there are literally thousands of Red Delicious quilts out there and I'd love to see some of them! Back when it was launched, over 10,000 unique IP addresses were downloading the blocks each month. How I wish those quilters would share their quilts and let us see what they made of this pattern. Still Red Delicious has held it's ground and I think it's as gorgeous today as it always was.

Red Delicious is available as a digital pattern, in PDF format for easy home printing in A4. Once payment through Paypal has processed, your download is instantly sent to your email in-box. (Be sure to check your spam and junk folders if it doesn't arrive within 3 minutes.)
