LE: Month by Month

Love Entwined: 1790 Marriage Coverlet is a historic, heritage applique quilt made in remembrance and legacy of an original coverlet of no name, referred to only as a 'fine marriage coverlet' by Averil Colby in her publication printed in 1958. I created this homage to the original because I knew that this quilt needed to be remembered, acknowledged and recognized by all quilters everywhere as a work of magnificent ingenuity without peer or equal in its era. I talk about these points in greater detail in the blog post archive listed below.

'Month by Month' is all about sharing the original Love Entwined experience with new makers. There's just so much available to you now that it can be hard to find it - you can't see the wood for the trees, so to speak. Well, with all the new Love Entwined's that are starting up, I thought now would be an ideal time to re-visit the valuable info that was shared here on my blog, the first time around.

On the first Friday of each month I'll be re-visiting the blog posts that detailed my ideas, tips and techniques which cover how I went about making each part of the coverlet, starting at Part 1.  Here on this page, you'll find the archive of these Month by Month Posts. Those posts themselves contain everything you need to know to complete the month referred to.

Have you started this historic heirloom BOM? Now is the ideal time for you to make a start yourself.  With all the info, experience, tutorials, images, advice  and friendship built up around this quilt now, there's never been a better time. And, for the first time ever, Love Entwined is now available as an ongoing BOM for just $9.95 per month so you can make a start in your own time, at your own pace.

  1. so happy that you're revisiting LE ! I started it when the pattern first came out but only did the very centre - didn't actually know how to make the teeny circles so didn't go any further - thankfully in the past few years I've actually learnt how to applique a little and I also learnt how to make teeny circles so I'm definitely going to make another start !!
